In 1949, the second-generation successor Huo-Shu Lin, then Director of the ninth tea area, founded Taipei [Chuan Hsiang Export Co., Ltd.], the [first] tea shop to have ever conducted cross-strait tea trade. As the benchmark of the tea industry, Taipei Chuan Hsiang's scented tea, Longjing green tea and high-mountain oolong tea have been favored by political leaders of various periods as the name card for Taiwan, and as the top selections of tea for international friends as gifts. The Chiang family loved Chuan Hsiang's tea. Madame Chiang Kai-shek's favorite was the top-class scented tea of Taipei Chuan Hsiang when she was in Taiwan. The tea can that she used, which was made of wood chips, at that time is still well preserved in the Cultural Artifacts Exhibition Hall of the Women's Working Committee.
