A long time ago, a young man from Quanzhou came to Dadaocheng, Taipei. Starting from a laborer, he worked diligently, keeping meticulous records, and his beautiful handwriting was praised by all. Later, he used his wife’s dowry to start a business and opened a grain shop on Dihua Street in 1959. He named it to remember his hometown and carried on the Quanzhou tradition through three generations.
The family’s assorted grains have taken on a new form, directly roasted, ground into powder, with no additives or added sugar. They include ingredients like wolfberries, Eucommia bark, and polygonum multiflorum, finely ground using traditional Chinese medicine techniques. They also offer various kinds of original beans, with the shop owner teaching you how to cook congee and sweet soups.
In 2023, the brand was renamed GrainChant, with the third-generation owner doubling as an aromatherapist, passionate about all things natural. Over 20 types of grain and herbal products gather the energies of heaven and earth, with grains as nourishment. A cup in the morning, and you’ll be rejuvenated.
