Description
The daughter of the Li family from Dihua Street was born into a traditional North-South goods store with 80 years of history. Her grandfather sold canned abalones, her father dealt in dried seafood like mullet roe, and seafood delicacies were the cornerstone of the family business and festive feasts.
In her childhood, she loved helping her mother make XO sauce and abalone chicken soup, sparking her passion for creating exquisite dishes with high-quality ingredients. In 2009, she took on the challenge and “The Carp” was born on Dihua Street, embarking on a journey to bring the richness of Dadaocheng to dining tables.
The sizzling fish oil and the aroma of mullet roe fried rice have a genuine source. When paired with fresh mullet roe slices, it creates a unique dual-texture experience. Premium abalones and fish maw, simmered in chicken soup for 8 hours, and the selection of ingredients and cooking techniques are all carried out with dedication and sincerity. Whether you choose à la carte or a set meal, the presentation and taste are exceptional.
Wild mullet roe takes center stage during chic afternoon tea, while fish maw, abalone, and chicken soup become part of daily nourishment. The hope is that both loyal patrons and new food enthusiasts find bliss, much like a fish in water, in the world of The Carp.
