Chifeng Street, one of the areas enjoying early development in Taipei, is also known as the “Iron-forging Street” because it used to be the hub for iron forging and hardware processing. Waha Café used to be a car component repair shop in the region. Having walked through seven decades of history, the building is full of memories of the old times. Upon opening the door of the café, customers can feel the strong visual effect created by the long and narrow interior. Alex, who has a passion for old buildings, preserved the roof made of Taiwania cryptomerioides and classic window frames, as well as the repaired old brick walls of the structure, turning the café into a place where people can relax their bodies and minds while in the midst of flowing jazz music.
