Taiho" was founded in 1946 and originally located in the old Taiping Market. We are a wholesaler and retailer of candied fruits and specialty goods.
In 1964, the "Wanhua Taihe Candied Fruit Store" (predecessor of this store) at Kangding Road of Monga was founded to sell pastries, candied fruits, etc. The store gave rise to a automated machine bread making trend in the 1960s, and developed numerous bakery snacks such as western snacks, bread, traditional pastries, and wedding pastries in order to diversify the businesses. Among them, the pineapple cakes, malt crisps, and wife cakes were famous.
In 1998, the store won the "Taipei Old Shop" certificate from the Taipei City Government and labeled as the "Historical and Sustainable Business Model."
We focus on the traditional pastries and offer specialties such as pineapple cakes, malt crisps, wife cakes, bubble cakes (or convex cakes, crispy cakes), patty cakes, green bean pastries, egg yolk cakes, traditional meat cakes, multi-grain noodles, and tea.
