Centuries of Medicinal Fragrance Timeless - From the Proud Traditions to the New Century
Dihua Street of Taipei City has been the distribution center of groceries and Chinese herbal medicines since the Qing Dynasty, and "Liu An Tang" is a well-known century old Chinese medicine store on Dihua Street.
"Liu An Tang" was founded by two brothers, Jin-Ru Yang and Cheng-Fa Yang in 1913 at Huian County of Fujian Province in China. The brothers practiced Chinese Medicine while making medicine. Their medicine and treatment skills were well known and their businesses flourished. They also traded with the local and foreign customers, increased their financial resources exponentially, and became first-class merchants in the province.
They moved to Taiwan in 1949 and opened stores at Yanping North Road and Raohe Street, respectively. The second generation inheritor, Wei-Cheng Yang, inherited the store and was deeply trusted by the customers because of his studiousness, quality commitment, fair price, and honest business practices. The store is currently passed-on to the third generation.
