The Gold Museum is Taiwan’s first museum planned as an eco-museum. Since its inauguration in November 2004, the Museum has adhered to the ideal of an eco-museum, devoted to sustainable management of resources, ecotourism, while working in conjunction with the community hoping to properly preserve precious nature/ecology, mining relics, landscapes, historical memories and cultural heritage in Jinguashi and Shuinandong.
