Nanfangou Visitor Center sits by the mountain and river, and is right next to the Jinan Temple, which has a lot of worshipers. The overall building adopts a design goal of a "green architecture," in making a modern friendly space that is function-activating, blends in with the environment, utilizes natural resources, thus saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. It exhibits fishing village and fishery culture's various elements in conducting the designs to demonstrate the local features of Nanfangou. The contents include Northeast Coast and Yiland Coastal natural ecology, ocean tourism scenic spots, and tourism info on Suao and Nanfangou, enabling the general public to understand the wetland ecology, fishery culture, coldness, seafood, and a variety of recreational resources of the Suao area in depth. This green visitor center that breathes with the mountains and oceans has become the entrance imagery and new landmark of the Nanfangou region; it also promotes platform for the local culture.
