The island of Sanxiantai has an area of 22 hectares, and has an altitude of 77 meters at the highest point. It is surrounded by coral reefs on all four sides. Its geography belongs to the Tuluanshan Formation family. It is a volcanic agglomerate comprised of andesite gravels and tuff.
